In our journey to develop a better and more user friendly, quality and affordable casting tape, we had spent a good 6 years of research and development. Along the way an inspiring event further reaffirmed this Peelable Casting tape that today fascinate the surgeons but even more their patients.

Not until summer of 2019 that one of Shanghai YouJia’s staff met with an accident and her arm fractured and she got herself the conventional casting splints to immobilize her fracture in a local hospital. Inspiring enough she got back to work the next day...

Day 2-Day 4, she was complaining that she was feeling uncomfortable that the casting splints were weight bearing and felt sweaty and itchy.

Day 5, we explored the possibility and consulted the attending doctor to put her on our latest Peelable non-fiberglass polyester casting tape, with little hesitation the doctor agreed and applied the Peelable cast.

She was on this new casting tape for 45 days, with 2 session of X-rays conducted, where her X-ray views were clear visible enough for the doctor to read and interpret her x-rays, the doctor acknowledged that the Peelable casting tape had better X-ray translucency. 

On the 45th days of Peelable casting tape removal, the doctor said her fracture healed and asked her for her feedback how she felt the last 40days and she shared her experience with the doctor in our presence that the casting tape was light weight that allowed her to continue her work by carry out her daily duties and tasks comfortably not realizing she had a casting tape on...

She too commented to the audience that the Peelable casting tape had saved her skin from itch as the cast was breathable and airy reducing sweat and obviously the urge to itch. 

It was clear that a big smile and happiness written all over her face that it was the right decision by the doctor and herself.
